Frequently Answered Questions

Why Curling?

Curling is simple to learn, yet intricate. It takes little athleticism except a soft touch and can be played from 8 years old to 98 years old.  There are many different techniques for throwing a rock so you choose which suits your abilities the best.  Strong vocal cords are optional but can come in handy!

Curling is quite inexpensive and very little equipment is needed.  Once at the rink, besides a few minutes to stretch and change into a clean pair of shoes you’re ready to start playing.  No referees or umpires are required which makes it easy to plan, coordinate, and play.  Game times are capped so it’s easy to schedule activities afterwards.

As a sport, Curling is as social as it gets with the ability to chat before, during, and after the game with anyone within earshot on the ice.  You can play with your kids, friends, and relatives of all ages and abilities.
